Qualcomm has introduced a powerful Snapdragon 215 Chipset mobile platforms for entry-level smartphones. This chipset is the successor model of 212 chipsets which was launched back in 2015.
For better performance, we used to buy premium and costly smartphones but after this chipset has arrived, now we can get better performance in budget smartphones too in the comparison of 212 we can get lots of improvements in 215 chipsets.
ARM Cortex-A53 cores are used in Qualcomm 215 which can give us more than 50% of performance than A7 Chipset.
This chipset is designed in 64-bit architecture where we can get Qualcomm Adreno 308 GPU which can improve gaming performance by 28 %. This chipset does support Qualcomm Quick Charge 1.0 technology and we can get dual ISPs support for dual cameras as well.
The main aim of building this 64-bit architecture chipset is to support the upcoming upgraded application for the future. Rumors says that Google will soon remove 32-bit architecture application, after that we all can only see 64-bit architecture application on the play store. This chipset support Qualcomm Snapdragon X5 modem which supports LTE Cat 4, with the help of this we can achieve a download speed of 150mpbs.
Talking about the camera, it supports 13MP single camera and 8MP dual Camera Setup. The smartphone having this chipset can record video up to 1080PX and also this device will support 19:9 Aspect Ratio HD+display too. The chipset will also support 802.11ac, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 + BLE, NFC and Beidou, GPS, GLONASS connectivity options.
having these features, this chipset may be the power pack for budget phones but Qualcomm 600 and 700 chipset series are getting lost of improvements. A few times ago Qualcomm released 665, 730 and 730G Snapdragon chipsets in the market which we can see on mid-range smartphone and on premium smartphones. We can expect that we can get 215 chipsets at the end of this year.
